About Us

One man who knew trees, twenty five years and a family crew later.

Tree Care Professional started in 2001 as one person who understood trees and wanted to work outside instead of behind a desk. That first year was a truck, a chainsaw and word of mouth around Houston. It is a family run company now, with climbers up in the canopy, machine operators running the grinders and chippers on the ground, and a customer support team answering the phone, but the reason people call is the same one they always had: someone is going to look at the actual tree, not guess at it from the street.

How it started

A one man operation that grew because the work held up.

Houston has no shortage of tree services that come and go in a season. Tree Care Professional has been doing this since 2001, and the reason it lasted is unglamorous: the owner started it because he actually knew trees and wanted to be outside doing something he was good at, not because tree work looked like an easy business to start.

Customers around Houston know the company through the name attached to it in reviews, again and again: Lino. He is still the one many people mean when they talk about who came out, walked the yard with them, and told them straight whether a tree needed to come down or just needed a trim. That habit, of looking at the actual tree before making a recommendation, is the same one the company was built on and the one it still runs on now that it is a family business with a full crew behind it.

A quarter century later, Tree Care Professional is still headquartered in Houston and still mostly finds new customers the same way it did in 2001: someone tells a neighbor. That is a slower way to grow than advertising, but it is also the reason the company has stayed sized right for the work it takes on, instead of outgrowing the people who show up to do it.

What we stand on

Three rules that do not bend, job to job.

Safety First

Proper gear and a real risk assessment before a chainsaw or a chipper starts, so the structures, the landscaping and the utilities around a job come through it the way they went in.

Integrity in Every Job

Fair pricing, transparent communication and honest recommendations. If a tree does not need the work, the crew says so instead of pushing a service nobody asked for.

Local Pride and Personal Service

Houston is our home. The crew works the same neighborhoods they live in, and the same towns get the same crew back, storm season after storm season.

The team behind those three rules spans everyone from the climbers working a canopy fifty feet up and the machine operators running the stump grinders and chippers on the ground, to the customer support staff who answer the phone and get an estimate on the books. Every one of them is licensed and insured to do the job Tree Care Professional takes on.

On the record

Twenty five years in, and still a Houston family business.

Every figure here comes from the company's own history and its live Google listing, not a marketing number.

What Houston says

Reviews from people whose trees we actually worked on.

tree near home had been struck by lightning in June and was hazardous to the property... downed that tree in less than a hour, protecting the house.

Lino and his crew did another great job trimming my trees. I hired this company 3 years ago to trim my trees and they did a very good job then and this time around it was no difference... You can hire just about anyone for the job, but they're not all created equal... If you want your trees trimmed correctly so the trees will survive and look nice at the same time, this is the company you need.
