Houston tree work, Spring to the bay.
Tree Care Professional is based in Houston, TX and covers nineteen towns around it, from the I-45 corridor in the north down to the towns near Galveston Bay. Same family crew, same equipment, wherever the job lands.
Two conditions do not change no matter which of these towns a job is in. The region's soil runs heavy gumbo and blackland clay, which holds water, swells and shrinks with the seasons, and puts more sideways pressure on a root system than sandier ground would. And Houston gets its weather in a hurry: tropical systems, straight-line wind and the occasional hard freeze all put trees down with little warning. Both of those shape how we plan a job well before the saw comes out.
North, up I-45
Spring, The Woodlands, Conroe, Magnolia, Tomball, Kingwood and Humble.
These are the newer, more heavily wooded suburbs, where lots are bigger and more of the original tree cover was left standing when the neighborhood went in. That means taller, older trees closer to the house, and more jobs where a crane or careful rigging earns its keep instead of a straight drop. It also means more storm-season pruning: thinning a dense canopy before wind season gets to it, rather than dealing with a limb after it has already come down.
Trimming and canopy work and removal are the two calls we get most often up here.
West, along the Katy and Cypress corridor
Cypress, Katy, Jersey Village and Memorial.
A lot of this corridor is still being built out, so the work skews younger: HOA-planted trees still establishing their root systems, new lots that need brush and stumps cleared before anything goes in, and species selection matters more here than almost anywhere else we work, because a tree planted wrong the first time in this clay rarely recovers on its own.
Tree planting and lot clearing come up constantly out here, alongside the same removal and trimming work we do everywhere else.
Southwest, the established inner suburbs
Sugar Land, Missouri City and Bellaire.
Older, established neighborhoods with mature oak canopies planted decades ago, often growing directly over a driveway, a fence line or a neighbor's roof. Most of the work here is maintenance on trees that are otherwise healthy: deadwood, shape, and keeping a canopy thinned enough that a storm passes through it instead of pushing against it. HOAs and shared common ground in this area also mean more scheduled, ongoing grounds work than a one-off call.
Commercial and HOA grounds work is a bigger share of what we do in these towns than elsewhere on this list.
South and southeast, toward the bay
Pearland, Pasadena, Baytown, Friendswood and League City.
Closer to Galveston Bay, the clay runs heavier and the storm exposure runs higher, so this is where our 24/7 emergency line gets used the most. When a hurricane or tropical system moves through, this stretch of the service area is usually first to call, and a tree down on a structure here goes ahead of scheduled work.
Stumps left behind after storm cleanup are also more common here than anywhere else on this list, since a tree that comes down in a storm rarely gets ground down the same day. Stump grinding often follows a few weeks behind the removal itself.
